April 13th, 2006 ... signed, sealed and delivered ... the House had a
permanent property in the form of a dot com. The name just kept sounding better
every day so it was the one to get. I said it, so it shall be done. HOT
was mine forever.
May 15th, 2006 marked the official arrival of the website portion of the
site. I wanted it to be a news source for all the forums (ed related) that I do,
plus be a totally safe site to come to for information on eating disorders. None
of the usual "pro" content here, just straight up support.
June 12th, 2006 marked the final nail in the House. It was finally built
complete with the addition of a forum. For software, I looked at them all and
found the Ultra phpBB gave the best performance, all the features I needed, plus
the only one to make the self help idea work out. I had the idea for that style
of forum for a long time now and finally got the kick to go and do it. It's the
first of it's kind eating disorder support forum. Nowhere else has an ed
forum been done the way HOT is.
January 15th, 2007 became a major renovation on the House. All the other places
now have permanent homes now so the House is now becoming much more evolution
oriented. You will see alot of eating disorder information put here of course
plus the addition of several articles I will be doing to invoke reaction from
the very society that makes us the way we are. Not attacking eds, nor attacking
sites, but the REAL causes of eds. Alot of roots will be exposed here, and again
this is a first for ANY ed site to do this. The evolution is picking up steam.
